If it's stopping at 60% it means you didn't follow the README steps correctly. Either you did something wrong when adding the line in air.ini or you didn't unzip the file in its correct place. Re-read the README.

Hallo Peter.

Your excellent F-86 needs urgently a realistic FM to compete with Ranvers Mig-15 on the same level

Uhm.... If you ask me I don't think so.... The MiG-15 is using a MiG-9 FM, which I do not think exceeds the YP-80 FM at all.

I'd rather wait for the whole package Smile

There was a post somewhere (here maybe?) with a link comparing the MiG 15 to the F 86. True the MiG could outclimb the F86, but was only faster at certain altitudes. That and the F 86 could dive better, in part because of the USAF's efforts to emulate the ME 262's design, which gave it better handling characteristics at high speed (especially in a dive).

I myself am looking forward to the final FM (for both,) which should be educational as to how the differences panned out IRL 8)

The MiG pilots had different issues, among them being bound to ground control units who needed to feed the MiG pilots movement on bogies.

When ever it's done, I am looking forward to recreating the Korean Conflict in all its relevant factors.

Thanks PeterD for a great (not just one fab airframe, but) pair of planes that dueled in the Korean skies Big Grin

Cheers

PeterD posted on his site that the F86 was completed and in the hands of the AAA guys (not 100% if the FM was comletely tweaked or not)

As for the Mig15, he said it was mostly done but he was putting it aside for about 10 days because he was very busy IRL.. that was dated the 8th of June...

The last post made me cry... Wink

It turns out there was a version of F-86 adapted for the Navy called the FJ-2.

No, what I said was that the F-86 was completed and was waiting for AAA to finish the FM -it's not exactly NEWS anyway- and that it (the FM) could either be released in the next Aircraft Installer or wait til the MiG is ready and put both FMs in it, that's up to AAA.

@nick11 I think there are a few pictures of the droptanks somewhere, maybe in the WIP thread even
