fabianfred, so if other people add your new map_C and that texture you mentioned, everything will still work the same, right? Just with a different look eh? If so, that's cool!

But I always thought that if you had made missions, and then changed Map_C, that those missions would no longer work. Is this right, or wrong?

no reason for it to affect missions...unless you cut a river which vehicles/trains were due to go

I didn't affect any roads/rails..

another thing....why aren't there any bridges on the map... I installed the bridgepack OK... Cry

These aren't the normal stock bridges that will show up on the 2-D map. They are just like stationary objects such as a house or vehicle you might add on to the map. They may not be viewable from a distance and you might have to get closer to be able to see it.
Many of the roads at river crossings do not have bridges since ferries are often used for that.
Railroads do have bridges so look for those to see if you have bridges.

good point about the ferries...I hadn't thought of that....but none of my rail crossings have them either....except the ones i originally made :?

Another reason for few bridges is that a mission builder can add new mod bridges wherever he wants to put it, very easily. One fault with the bridges is that the middle parts are not level with the end parts but Delvpier said that is the way it has to be so we have to live with it. It's not too noticeable unless you're really looking close at it. When I first saw it like that I thought my river crossing ground was not level...toook a while to figure that out. Second fault is that vehicles will not travel over them and trains will run under them...but it looks like a bridge and it's easy to place on map not like the way we did it before with many many different pieces.

As you noticed, I left your long bridge at Moulmein. I didn't have the heart to destroy all that hard work you put into it! I don't know why you can't see bridges now. only thing i can think of is if the mod was not installed in the right place...but you know how to do it right so... I dunno!

Have you tried adding some MODS BRIDGES with the FMB?

Glad you carried on the work with this map CzechTexan, looks great. I set your eighteen single missions for the Mohawk up as a campaign, no problem saving, at least not for me.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. Big Grin

The missions I made for my early version of this map still work OK on yours...just need to change the mission map name in the .mis file using Notepad.

CzechTexan! This is a great map, and I at once started working on a campaign featuring 5 Squadron and their Mohawks over Burma in 1942-43. And then...

I found your excellent pack of missions Confusedhock:

Anyway: they are very nice, and make my work redundanrt. Why don't you join them together to form a campaign? They fit together perfectly IMHO.

PeterK, Go ahead and make your own 5 Sqn missions if you want to. I don't have a monopoly on it! LOL! Glad you like mine though. I left them in single player format so that it would be easier to pick and choose which ones to play. Some are more boring than others due to the long flight times and little action. I will put it into campaign format later but you can do that yourself for your own pleasure.

You know 155 Sqn Mohawks were also in Arakan. I only had a couple missions for them but you could expand on their work. Their planes also had slightly different markings and they changed to the blue/white roundel SEAC markings in the Fall of 1943. I could give you a little more info about their missions in arakan if you'd like.

Right now, I'm working on a FlyingTigers campaign but I'm sure other people are doing the same. the more the merrier! Having a blast re-creating and flying their missions from Mingaladon. Have about 10-15 more missions to build as I'm only halfway done. I'm leaving the skins as just the basic default skin so others can change to what they prefer later...there's so many skins out there. No, it's not nearly as detailed as White Sun Blue Sky but the battles are fun.

You Mohawk missions are very good, and it feels a bit hard to follow them...

Before I try the 155 Squadron, or perhaps one of the Hurricane Squadrons (or perhaps even a Blenheim campaign - that would be a challenge) I think I'll revert to my usual stuff, and do a JAAF campaign, for either Sentai 64 (the obvious choice) or maybe Sentai 50 (you know, the guys who always exaggerated their kill scores).

So there you can meet the Mohawks of 5 Squadron over Akyab!

Confusedhock: I'm afraid those Ki-43 Oscars would dominate the A/I Mohawks and Hurricanes but it would be a great JAAF campaign. You know there were plenty of air to air battles between these foes so there's plenty of material to go on. Let me know when it's done!

I'm really looking forward to this one once it gets an idiot (me) proof installer! It's looking great, but I'm not gonna break my code; ie. don't put anything into my game manually.

Thanks for all your hard work Czech.
