Now tell us which maps are those 42, sure will be very interesting!

Many won't get done I'm sure - but here are a few in any case:

Iraq/Straight of Hormuz/Red Sea/Hejaz/Iran (2x)/Egypt/Mars (really)/Spain-Morocco (2)/Madrid/Balearic Islands/Aegean Islands/

Mozambique/South Africa (2x)/Tierra del Fuego (these are all with very striking landscapes - will get done)

Tunisia/Crimea/Baku/Caucasus/Vladivostok/Hokkaido/Silesia/China-Hankow/Morocco proper/Kamchatka

for WWI guys - Palestine/Carpathians/Smyrna/Tsing-Tao/Gallipoli/Macedonia

They are all flyable, but many are just try-outs. At the moment I am really enamored of the African maps and Tierra del Fuego - absolutely beautiful landscapes - no real WWII fighting went on there, but there has got to be a way to use them anyway.

Tierra del Fuego is almost finished - just needs a bit of populating of the very few towns. And I'd like to make a summer/winter version.

WOW!!! Tierra del Fuego can be used for Argentina/Chile battles for the islands. Prop and Jets in wild landscape and often bad weather can be a great campaign!!

I will add some temporary airfields for either side or the frontline will be too far away.

South Africa Please!
texturing will be a pain, because variety of landscapes. From desert to jungle and great savannah and kopjes + mountains. I really love that country!! And it is huge!
I almost moved in @ 90Confused.

Don't know what to do with airfields really. I didn't find more than 2 in this day and age. So I doubt if in previous years there were more ...

Maybe I can put in one or two 'rough' airfields, something that is very very basic ...

Just an update - Dakar should be finished in a few days. Just doing a few touches here and there as well as preparing an extra surprise at the same time.

This map also contains lots of dlv_Egypt objects. While I wouldn't care to make a bet on it, I think it might one of the first maps to contain these wonderfully atmospheric objects. So check your static.ini's and make sure they are in working order.

Here are a few screenshots:
