COMING SOON! English Channel 1940 Final Release

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for pointing that out. I had used a photograph of the Officers Mess at RAF Duxford for my reference (which has red roof tiles) but I can clearly see from the links you posted that this was the exception, and that the majority had grey slate tiles. It's very easy to fix, so I shall Smile

Thanks

Joe

Hi canonuk,

this is really an outstanding work. This shows what you can achieve even with the obsolete il2 program.
I hope some of Olegs team will take a look at the maps and the detail of your work to compare it with olegs new masterpiece storm of war-battle of britain

It would be very shameful if they could not reach your quality of work with a modernized code.

Keep on and I am waiting for your full release

I really like your Debden airfield. Home of the 4th Fighter Group during the war. I always wondered what it looked like.

Well, it looked a little different when the 4th FG was there. After the BoB, the airfield had paved runways and dispersal areas. My 1941-44 version of the map will show this.

CanonUK, please tell me what kind of smoke you use, is that a mod? I refer to the Spitfire with that long tail of smoke behind it, as shown in your screenshot of May 31st. It looks superb.
