[Map] Avala's Benghalli Islands map
#46

Hi HGuderian.

Here are my settings for Gapa Mod. the result will be close to pic taken by under the b17.

Notice that to have a similar result between Gapa mode and what I can do with photoshop I had to down 10 or 15 % (depends of the map, time...) of my screen saturation, i have a Samsung 2433 BW + geforce 8800 gt and sRGB IEC61966-2.1

I do have a question.

How many airfields/sea plane ports are on the map?

Due to my PC being in te shop I can't install and check myself and on the 2D map there are no icons indicating either.

You are well come HGuderian.

Don't forget, with these settings you will have something very close to the colours you can see on my pics, these settings are differents from those included by default by Avala, BUT, the saturation is very hight.

It looks like what photographers call "crossing process", it gives the aspect of old colour picture.

If you find the colours too saturated for your taste, just check your screen and put down saturation to -5 or - 10%.

Anyway I'm still looking for a way to have the "diffuse light" effect I include on my pics an produced that so natural light for landscapes.

Just to show what you can get with Gapa Gamma mod with my settings posted here previously

Absolutely no photoshop at all this time, files "brut" as we say in french:

I have another group of settings for Gapa, same way but with the "green" aspect a little more sweet and natural. Will post it later.

What great in this map is how naturally texture change, that's really visibible on these beatch shots.

Hi HGuderian, happy to see it works for you.

Here are the best settings (some pics soon to compare both). With these settings you have a more natural light but still a very brilliant sky as you see on my photoshop edited pics. It's my favorite one for now, to be used with as many clouds as you can it renders pretty good  .

Not tested on snow, so maybe i will have to make another set of settings for that case.

Enjoy .....and feebacks are welcome:

I did the same thing with the same plane. Thanks for the video Big Grin

And here are the graphic DLLs that I am using at the moment:

As I can see that are interest in gapa utility, here is some new settings, not so bright like Redko’s (very good screens BTW, thank you Redko Big Grin ) but much more subtle. You enabled and disable it with F5 and F6 key.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?awwmzozkqht

But, in the rar file you will find folder “Avala Terrain Light” which is more important than the Gapa utility. Because toning down overbrightnes of the terrain in game caused with gapa, and makes it more natural. So you can use gapa for more blue and natural skies but also Avala Terrain Light for more darker and desaturated terrain in the game (monitor settings not needed with it) Just paste is into your MODS folder.

I putted here some new screens of it.

And here are some more rockin screenies of the map Big Grin Unedited in any way. Pure IL2.

Hi Avala. Can i ask you how many time did you spend ofr this map ? :?:

Quote:As I can see that are interest in gapa utility

Well for the moment I find that Gapa works better with your map, and Avala's Planeshine renders great to  . I agree with your settings for gapa are more natural, but the thing is i'm looking a way to make the light in the sky appear with more intensity, the stock lightening is bad at hight altitude. I would like to find a way to have a more diffuse lightening. Maybe will we have one day an Avala's landscapeshine 2....who knows  .

Will download and try your gapa settings.

Here news ones, without the green lightening:

Profile_Blue_Gamma=180

No photoshop here, gapa mode only :

Ok will try this. Can be interresting to combinate gapa and more natural terrain.
