Desaturated textures are my default settings now as I replaced the default ones. I would like to taste it with Italy map and Viking's Crete map too as the result is good with those sunny landscapes.

For the last pic I altered by photoshop the colour of the sky, passing from the stock blue colour to a little more orange one. Of course i did not have this on the game but it shows how interresting it would be to have that possibility. For crete and el_alamein it would be a good thing i think.

It don't know what file is in charge of the colour of the sky on il2.

Hi redko. check into C6 pack (if you have it). There's a Josse mod wich take caere about high sky colour. I think you find there the file you're lookin' for.

It worked before, but now I get a load error like people were complainig of with previous versions.
any ideas on that?

I did just download and install the new 4.09 patch, but I can't think what else I might need to do.

I wuould be very grateful for some wisdom

MTO_lowland_3 has been renamed MTO_lowland_3_Fields in the 4.09 final - so any map that uses this texture will not work if you upgrade to 4.09 and don't have the original in your _tex\land\summer path in your mods folder. Or you can edit the load.ini of these maps to add _Fields to the name of the texture to get them to load. This affects my El Alamein map, CAL Zimbotho, and the Lybia map., AFAIK. Many thanks to RAF74_Bimmer, Birdman, and Malone at the SAS for sussing this out.

Is anyone else having trouble with the seacoast? The water rapidly turns black with distance, the breaking waves render just in front of my aircraft, and there are long linear stretches of two different colored water. I do not have these issues with other maps. This map is so beautiful otherwise, especially with all the Egypt objects in it, I hope there is a fix. Edit: HardwareShaders=1 Water=2 did the trick. I'll post screenshots soon.

The people at AAS have been and are still working very hard to bring these links back to active status - you must realize there are hundreds of files to go through, only so many people to go through them and... No one is getting paid to do it, it is all done on the free time and by the good graces of the staff.
You are completely wrong about "the final countdown", and we ask that you present your posts with a more civil attitude in the future. Also, please post in the proper forum, as this one is about the El Alamein map.

BTW Viking, great looking map!

Hi,

Replacing and rejuvenating links takes much time.

There are over 200,000 posts and 20,000 topics in dozens of forums-both old All Aircraft Arcade and new All Aircraft Simulations.

Several people have voluteered their time and this is a WIP on a daily basis.

Since All Aircraft Simulations is only several weeks old, we will need more time to go through the thousands remaining.

Keep in mind that each valuable post or link worth saving can require searching and digging into the old AAA archives for each one. If the link needs to have a replacement from another website, then that can take even longer.

Enjoy the fruits of our very hard work! Big Grin
