Open GL versus Direct X
#1

Which is better? What is the latest Direct X version?

I have noticed that some objects on my computer work in GL but not
in Direct X--is there any particular reason why that might be?

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

well, i think perfect setting only appears in OpenGL mode.

The animation below is shot in il2 in Perfect Mode.

The best option is Open GL, the game is "configured" to work with it. There was a thread somewhere that explained this.

....actually, there are probably hundreds of threads that explain this....
OpenGL is native to IL2, by far better thann DX....

Unless of course you're running Triple Head To Go, and then everything is processed through DX anyway. Sad

With opengl the game runs fine, with directx game runs at 5 fps.

It sounds like most gamers prefer open GL and my game looks better that way, so I am grateful for the commentary!
