I think you would be in for trouble.
They say to make a clean install 4.07---4.08m ----4.09m------ HSFX-V4------ HSFX-V 4.1

I installed 4.1 over 4.0 and am getting russian HUD/speedbar and Russian yes or no to leave the game...anyone else?
I have a problem in the FMB won't let me save any missions, can not add the new aircraft to my map templates for the KTO, is there a way to turn on or disable the fmb like in 1.2 I had this problem once before in UI 1.2 and removed the - from the fmb folder and all was well. I do not see this folder in the HSFX 4.1 ?
The link for the hsfx v4.1 does not work.
So is it possible for someone to put out the torrent download somewhere where it can be downloaded for us others too?

The servers are all privately owned, they can and will do as they please. That said I imagine most will choose either UP, HSFX or 4.09 clean fairly soon.
tell me if i did get something wrong but what i think is a p.i.t.a. is that i've got to dl files so big it takes me nearly 3 whole days only to get a few planes not available elsewhere and under the price that the carefully selected mods and the mod folder get killed and i can't add the ones i want manually anymore...and now don't tell me oh you can switch between the version love...it simply is a pain when it comes to compatibility...just like it was with the button files before sas started to release their all inclusive versions...i'd like to have it all together you know...the things I like..not the ones i'm told to take..
Hi, I get a question about the 2. step of installation HSFX v4 and v4.1 - If you downloaded IL-2 (Digital version), instead of installing from the CD, get update Patch.
I read about this step in Installation Instructions, but I would be glad, if someone could explain me why I should apply patch (Ubi fix). What does he do, whats wrong with the modded game without this patch etc.
I have digital version IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 4.08 from GOG.com, I applied official 4.09 patch and then HSFX v4 (WITHOUT patch/ubi fix mentioned in 2.step of Installation Instructions). Game runs fine till now.
I would like to know if I should expect any kind of troubles and mainly what is this mysterious patch/ubi fix. Maybe it should be possible to include it into official version of Sturmovik on GOG.com, because they upgrade their downloadable version on 4.09 anyway, so there must be way to put the patch into the game installer.
