I have HSFX 4.1 and when prompted to replace the old exe with the new one, I see that they are both the same?

Back up the original .exe by renaming it!

I have just installed a map making version of il-2 as described here

i used a copy of 4.09 with UP 1.8.

is this the same as you are using for the copying and pasting of objects on the maps?

i can open a map in the map making version, but when i zoom in to a certain level i get a black screen with just a small portion of the map appearing in the bottom left hand side of my screen.

have any of you come across this before? if so do you know a work around?

lastly what version of il-2 are you using for map making?

OK I think my words were a little too simple.

Winblows tells me they are the SAME in that they were both created and edited on the same dates and times.

No they aint. Test it and you see the difference...
I'm no way computer specialist, but the maker of this mod added some virtual memory or buffer memory to game. maybe some comp geek can lighten us here.

kapteeni, I've taken the liberty of making credits to HaDeS and UP a little bit clearer. SAS are hosting it, but it was HaDeS of UP that made it.
