Its part of the external model which is also mapped on the skin so its quite hard to remove and would mean quite a lot of work. I had a check to see if it was something I could just change in the class file but turns out it isn't. :S
That would be historically incorrect.
All 190s after the A6 came with the racks as standard fit and they were not removed in the field.
The example you show is, most likely, a Flugwerk new-build, which of course comes without them, as there is no point in having them.
Look at bottom photo, in middle of two landing flaps, bomb rack.
This apparatus is very ugly. And FW lost very extensive performance.
I totally agree!
The FW is a beautiful airplane and can not stay with one of these horrible thing!
The bombrack is a purely cosmetic part of the FW190A8's 3D model, it does NOT have any impact on the aircrafts performance...
Ok, now wait a second here. Modding is not about pleasing anyones aesthetic preferences!
The planes were all delivered with racks for a purpose. They usually operated with the need for a droptank or to be used as fighter bombers.
There is absolutely no point in discussing the removal of any historical accurate parts on any plane. Period.
And it's also missing the two inside wing cannons if you look closely....
