little detail,but you should change
ShadeNoise = land/SandNoise.tga
to
ShadeNoise = land/Noise.tga
or
ShadeNoise = land/sk_Noise.tga
mmm this is right sir there is errors on the load.ini...but i guess people are enough skilled now to correct it by their self. Anyway it reuploaded the file right now so new players will not be affected. for the others to fix this:
- or you remane all the textures files redko_palauXXX_tga
- or you keep the actual name and just change the load.ini lines in redko_tex/palau/palau_XXX.tga instead of redko_tex/palau/redko_palau_XXX.tga
it the same. my bad people. indeed...this is strange that nobody reported that.

Yes right there should be. i have to make it. on the original map there was just a clearer texture if i remember well. i have to put hose strips, it's on wip. I didn't have the time thoose days to make an update : i was working on map_t to get less surf as some ati users seems to have fps problem with too much surf.

Just one thing though.
On Peleliu the airfield has no "runways", that is airstrip textures.
Now I certainly don't mind the "unimproved" look of the place but landing there can be a bit dicey, especially if it's near sunset or after.
Is there any way to add those, either a white "coral" or a "dirt" texture? I have quite a few mod maps so have a plethora of airfield textures from other maps that I could import if that would work.

EDIT: Never mind. I just read your post a few above this one. I look forward to that version. In the meantime I'll continue using this one. It's just too nice not to.
