Hello all. When I originally switched to UP 2.1 there was no 'MODS' folder inside the game. I manually created one then began adding mods to it like I'd been doing with UI. Do I create a 'MAPMODS' folder inside the 'MODS' folder in the same way? And, pardon the sacrilege, but will the old desert map still be available after we get this new version? Thanks for any help, this looks amazing!I can't wait to give it a fly!

For Install:

Put the "Desert" file into your mapmod folder as usual like this :

MODS/MAPMODS/maps/desert

Put the texture folder like this:

MODS/MAPMODS/maps/Tex_/redko_tex/Lybia

And in the "all.ini file" located on your "maps" folder (...MODS/MAPMODS/maps...) just check that you have allready have this line:

Desert desert/load.ini

If not you have to ad it.

I have done it this way on a few maps in the past. I don't know if this works for these texture maps. You can try it and reverse if it doesn't work.

Thanks again for this awesomeness...

Did anyone get this working with Ultrapack 2.01? (In Up2.01 I update new maps here: Files/maps/ (_Tex, all.ini and desert) I updated the all.ini here too.

I tried it twice, thought I double checked it, but got the same load error in the FMB for Desert...I must have something wrong. I'll have to look at closer tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated. Cant wait to fly

Also, Lybia didnt change when I checked .

Looks like this in FMB [Image: dyu.jpg] Missing objects but which ones? Do we need the Mediterranean Houses by Lejo for the map to be populated,If so where can we find it?

I'm pretty sure I have all those but,I'll have to go over my mod folder just to make sure.Thanks FZ. "Edit" I have all except for MadToc 's mod (I think) and All links to it seem to be dead .I hope that we have a caring person who will share.

... works like a charm for me, the only thing I did was open the load.ini and change CAMOUFLAGE=SUMMER into = DESERT in order to get desert skins for static AC ...

About the spikes, I had the same problem and thought I missed an object or so but I think it's a graphics card issue. After exiting and restarting IL2 it disappeared.
On my system this map is quite demanding probably because of the 4 mb .tga's. Besides the spikes sometimes my FMB screen turns white or when I wanna make a screenshot I get a CTD. AFter reading comments here and at SAS1946 we don't seem to be the only ones...
