You should put the resolution of your monitor into the conf. ini:
[window]
width= "here"
height= "here"
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0
Use3Renders=0
Thank you for your input ton414,
I had it set to 1024X768 32 then I changed it to;
[window]
width=1152
height=864
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=1
Use3Renders=0
Unfortunately it still looks kind of stretched.

In the TFT monitors, you should put the native resolution, and:
SaveAspect=0
I have a 21,5" monitor as well but other brand. My native resolution is 1920x1080 and I did this on the conf file and works fine. Find out your native resolution and stick it on conf and yo´ll be fine. Good luck!

I suggest for those who have problem with wide screen, they download "Ecran-Wide 2" mod from SAS here:
http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=1472.0
The solution disscused here is only the part of solving wide screen problem, because il2 as defult not sopport wide screen! and you have
to edit some class file to do it compatible with wide screen sopport! 8)
