[MOD] P47D Razorback Cockpits by Poncho (1-26-11)

henkypenky Wrote:Hi Poncho, yes that was my problem to, Circ's POV mod. Removed it an no more holes and draught. Thanks. Only now I've got me something else; I removed your previous version from my mods folder and now I no longer have a cockpit in the 27D & 27Late. Cry And I also wonder if the Alignment Ironsights folder can stay in the mods folder.

Sorry, I had forgotten about the ironsight mod. That will have to be deactivated for now until I can update it for this pit.

Thanks for being my beta testers.

Give me a couple of days and I will put together a bundle with the new D10 and D22 pits, the current 27D & 27Late, an updated ironsight option, and (hopefully a POV patch).

I am working on new Bubbletops also, but they are not ready yet.

¡Super- excellent work!

Poncho, probably you know that the D-27 bubble cockpits retained still this same instrument panel Big Grin ? The first model having the renewed one that comes in stock bubbletops were the D-30, according to my sources (The original manuals...)

Good to hear from you chris,

I finally have some momentum with this project again. I think will have the D27 and Late versions done in much less time than it took for these. At the start of this project Taurus and I had agreed to work on this together, but he disappeared. Haven't heard from him for nearly a year, so I hope he is OK. Too bad, because he was the artist of the team, I am more of a technician.

P.S. This version is meshed to have a sliding canopy but needs a FM edit to be activated.

I cannot ask for more. I was waiting years for this.

NOTE: If you want to install it in an old AAA SOUND MOD, use the JSGME version.

I downloaded it but don't understand the structure of the files.
Instead of theP47D_Razorback_V1.0 folder I get several ( hash?)files and a 3do folder with inside a cockpit and plane folder.
What to do with it? :?:

EDIT: Never mind....I did two things wrong but now it works. Big Grin
Sorry for my n00b question.

This pit looks way better. 8)

Is the artificial horizon supposed to work this way ? It looks a bit weird...

I have version 1.1 files posted. that should correct identified problems.

dFrog has pointed out that the indicators for the artificial horizon are still riding in front of the gauge face.

If you are comfortable with making the correction yourself you can do so as follows:

In the P-47D-10 folder, find the hier.him and hier_d22.him files. In each file look for the section that reads:

[zhorizont1a]
Mesh zhorizont1a
Parent Front
Attaching -1 0 0 0 0 1 0 1 0 0.175 0.120 0.0060

change the value highlighted in yellow to 0.0055

that should drop the indicator behind the gauge face.

Hi Poncho,

It could just be me, but I think the gunsights are set a bit low. I'm finding that the bullets converge well above the pipper. Just an FYI.

Hi Poncho
Should be fair to credit Freddy as original pits creator?
Cheers

He's not.
I would say 25% of this is from the earlier work I did with Taurus. The rest is mine.
I have used 0% from Freddy and would not, as I know he is very proprietary about his work.
