Nearly 1 year after starting the build, my Little Miss Mischief finally stands in all her majesty!

Despite the terribly slow progress, due to the work being fractioned in countless mini-sessions (so much modeling, so little time! ), and a few frustrating moments, the effort I put in building this B-17 has been fully rewarded by the satisfaction it gave me both throughout and at the end of the job.

It's now time to finish this kit review!

PROS:

- New tooling (2010)
- Highly detailed interiors
- Cleverly engineered
- Great overall fitting
- Plenty of optional parts
- Finely printed decals

CONS:

- It may raise your expectations from other kits!
- A few underdetailed/roughly molded parts
- Minor inaccuracies
- Transparent decals tend to become opaque

CONCLUSIONS

I definitely recommend this B-17G kit to any model builder with at least some experience, in order to take full advantage of the provided details. And if you feel like, there's room for further improvements! Just keep in mind that it will require a fair amount of time (to build) and space (to store and to display).

GREEN LIGHT!

Serpiko, put that model in a glass box not a speck of dust should be allowed to get on that fine work you have done, like I been saying right along its the best 1/72 B-17 I have ever seen built.

Hi Serpiko !

I can't believe my eyes, the first and the sixth pictures looks so realistic, it is difficult to think it is a 1/72th model !

Congratulations for the great stuff you performed during a year, and thank you so much for having shared your skills in this very detailed thread.

All your reviews are very well done, well explained and instructive, but this one is better !

you did a Beauty !!!

Cheers

Ted ;o)

Edit : thread locked on the top of the section for beeing an excellent work ;o)
