German Members / Create Subforums in different languages
#1

Hm are there some german members here ?
I think we should create subforums or something else for german, spanish, french etc.. so that we can discuss mods and help each other in our motherlanguage. A lot of people seems to have problems with english, so it will be much easier for us to interact.

I am German. Sure i think that creating subforums in different languages would be a nice idea, but i don't think they would get much activity.
I can speak english fairly well so i don't have a problem with writing in english, but of course communication in German would be easier.
It's up to the moderators if they wanna do this. But a good idea nonetheless.

I think those subforums would get as much activity as the 4.05 mod forum  , but i think it's worth the try at least.

Perhaps you could keep within the current forum structure, and indicate in the title if you cannot use english to get the point across.

For example the thread title might be:

[Deutsche] Spanien Karte

or something like that. Peopel who don't speak the language will be more likely to look at it, and some might have only a little German, French, etc who could participate even though we'd likely not read a special forum.

hm but if you would that this way you would exclude evryone who dont speak german so i think we could do it otherways:

Open one thread in german and only post the news of the projekts in an english verion!

Next to English ,Chinese is the langage spoken by the most people. Where does that take us? Why not just make the post in your mother tongue and include translation?

Or just write the thread titles in your own language. Anyone else can at least see what they are, and join/not join the conversation as they are able.

Maybe a sticky at the top for a few common languages (written and with titles in those languages) that explain to simply post away in your mother tongue, and see what happens.
