This would explain why for static checker all is there.

I replaced the actor static but it do nothing but i was shure it wasn't the problem. The map load with problem but impossible to save somthing must be missing for me. I will try to reinstall all object one by one.

If it's any consolation, a yesterday I went back to a map in progress that I started last summer. Which was prior to my install of UP2.0. I could fly around in it and all, it just wasn't finished by a long shot. Anyway, yesterday i went back to that map in progress just to take a look and see how it looked, and by darn if I couldn't get it to save a mission either. And it used to work previously. Now it opens but won't save missions and therefore can't be flown in.

There aren't even many objects in it at present, there are 2 airfields so that should not be a problem. Nor is it a texture problem or anything. Just a map that I made on my install and that now won't work on my own game ...

I am guessing it might have something to do with UP2.0, but have no idea what exactly.

You suggest i sould install up2.0 ? are you using static planes as objects for this map?

Static planes? Good heavens no. I never use static planes or vehicles or such - unless they are part of a Quick Object Tool template that I do not know about. But I certainly don't take the trouble to add them on my own ...

Besides, I'm pretty certain that when extracting and then recombining an actors.static file, only buildings objects are retained ... or at least they aren't added to an actors.

Which gives me an idea: perhaps people experiencing problems saving/flying in this or any other map, should extract the actors file, edit the static entries and then recombine the actors file.

I think it's some type of new static object that was in the object templates.
I don't have UP 2.0 or HSFX yet so that's probably why it's not working for me.
I'll get around to it some day in the future. Will be a good map for 1930s era planes. Can't wait to fly the I-15 from 4.10!

I think I am facing the same problem as Redko suggested (only with the newer version of Hankow map): corrupt object file; in fact, I have a potential suspect: I have the relevant lines for Fisneaky's 'Warehouse/cargo/net" and "warehouse/cargo" (the green camo net and the packages covered with green canvas) but I don't see them in my FMB/objects: Any kind sould could please provide a d/link for that pack of objects? I have searched extensively in every thread involving Fisneaky at this forum to no avail. Thank you,

Yea you are right...this would explain why actor checker find nothing bad. I guess UP2.0 and HSFX object (if they exist...) aren't integrated on the checker. Hopefully beeing methodical we will find the solution.

mmm...ok. maybe we are approaching the solution. this woudl be to bad to be unable to fly this map. i'm fan of Agracier's work, i want it :wink: .
good work cgagan, i will check from my side to what object could be missing from these packs, UP2.0 and HSFX.

i have the same attitude like you cgagan i don't like packs too much i prefer manual installation.

Strange things going on. First I have to say I haven't downloaded the latest version of this map so can't say if it saves in FMB or not.
But I noticed I have the "warehouse_cargo twice in FMB and missing a default summer 1946 object which looks quite similar:

I have this object showing up twice in FMB:

But missing this default 1946 object (Winter version I have but not this Summer one):

I have HSFX 4.1 installed and in the static.ini both objects (46warehouse_cargo and 46warehouse) have their own lines.
So it's getting confusing now... :???:

Exactly the same. I lack both objects, the last I see only in winter mode.

Well, it's getting more and more interesting with this @#$%*!&$# object.
I just noticed that getting closer to this object it transforms itself into the other one. Going further away it goes back to the cargo-shed again. Confusedhock:

It's ok ... it bothers me too that this object, however it got there, is giving problems.

If anyone could give the correct static.ini line for this object I should perhaps simply edit it out of the actors.static, lock stock and barrel ... an object number isn't enough to identify it since object numbers vary according to the setup of one's game in the game FMB.

I was planning on posting another texture set for the map anyway, one that changes a number of cultivated fields textures. there are a few that don't really blend in all that well. And I am/was trying to make some tree mask textures for some of the fields. But even though I am following the tutorial very strictly, I can't seem to get the trees to follow any preset pattern on fields textures ... should be very simple, but once again something here eludes me ...

In my HSFX static .ini it is called:

In my .mis file it is called: House$46Warehouse_cargo


In my good old AAA 0.93 soundmod install it is called "46Warehouse" (shed+cargo) but in my HSFX install it is separated in a " Warehouse_shed" and a "Warehous_cargo" in the Fisneakly section.

Hope this will help a bit. As I'm populating the Netherlands on Waggel's Northsea map I will avoid these objects like the plague. :lol:

Funny you should mention that map. It happens to be a map that I can load, but not fly and save ... much like on this map here. And I thought I had pretty much every object available in my static.ini ...
