Destruction mod,Mbr or arado made me lost my sounds from the game..help me.

After installing the 321, B-17E, and Mustang dive sound, I now have NO cockpit engine sound in all my radial aircraft
HELP???

A pet hate of mine is the cockpit of the Spitfire Vc's (2 and 4 cannon). For some reason the cockpit has been set well above the plane itself. If you have 6DOF on, you can lean forwards and look down and see your prop and engine way down below. My objective is to try and fix this. As I'm new to modding I thought I'd try something easy first.
The majority of the 2447 Spitfire Vc's produced were flown by the RAF from bases in the United Kingdom and had the standard nose profile without the Volks filter. I've been playing around trying to change the nose of the RAF's Spitfire Vc2
Here's the progress so far
There's two separate spit models in the game that don't seem to be interchangable. The Spit Vb and Spit IX are layed out one way and the Seafire, Spit Vc and Spit VIII the other. As I couldn't use the ideal Vb nose, I've placed a Seafire nose (same Merlin 50/55 series motor) on the Vc. It has a few problems (wrong exhaust pipes and carb air intake) but its a work in progress....
Any help from the more experienced modders would be appreciated
Includes all 4 gun positions and B-25 cockpit with correct controls. FM is a bit crazy, but definitely worth it.
Includes 3 desert missions that will be installed in the Single Player, Germany, Me-321 directory:
- Miss#1: Air start under tow (He-111Z-1) with landing and "special forces' objectives (destroy trucks with guns)
- Miss#2: Air start glide to resupply base while under attack by Gladiators
- Miss#3: Take off training (with He-111Z-1) with landing in resupply base required

Is it possible to add V-1 to AI planes in Quick Mission Builder. It would be great to jump into a
Spit, Tempest or Mustang and shoot them down just for relaxation after heavy day in work

In server Zeke vs Wildcat (full real, only human players) we fight in Salomon Islands. Our Havocs, escorted by P-40, had to attack the Japanese Fleet anchored in a bay in which beaches, the Ichciki,s were landing. In the other side, a lot of Zero,s.
Later we took off and put East bearing, I found the bay and the fleet there:
From 2000m and without any disturb from the Zero,s (which were all attacking my mates over the waves), I got closeer, select a destroyer as target and I start my bomb run:
Hitting the destroyer I run away at lowest level possible shadowed by a yellow guy who wants to give me his love, however he will only get 0.50 caliber bullets from my gunners and is down. Later I got some distance I turn again to do a second strike at low level whie my comrades continue the attack (in the shot you can see other A-20 at my four-five position closing to the destroyer-target):

Two bombs impact in the port side. Other Japanese destroyer that will rest in the bottom of the Salomon:
Riding the waves I leave the area plenty of burning ships:
And I land without problems although with several dozens of holes and losing fuel. Other planes have suffered more than me, like the A-20 in second place in the screenshot, on fire and surrounded by ambulances :twisted: .
Two destroyers sunk and one Zeke down.

The image below uses a modified greyscale in MicroDEM to get as linear a slope as possible. Each white square = 1 pixel in IL2's terrain maps. I want to point out the following:
IL2 cannot give you a vertical slope, a cliff. This is because at ALL heights, a drop to the next height level results in a slope drawn over 2 pixels, 400m, as shown in the picture. This is because terrain maps (map_h) are drawn at a resolution of 1 pixel = 200m in IL2's terrain rendering engine. So those hoping for the White Cliffs of Dover and similar features will be disappointed. These cliffs are around 315ft, 100m, tall at their highest point, but IL2 will show them as a slope because of the way the terrain engine works making it look like a gentle hill. There is also the limitation that IL2's maximum height appears to be 4000m.
Please think about why maps are not accurate before you post, it is not because map makers are being sloppy, it is because it is the best they can do with the rendering engine we have in IL2.
Could this be improved in IL2? Yes. Water features are drawn in map_c at a resolution of 50m, if someone could figure out how to get terrain drawn at this resolution we could have more accurate scenery. But this would make the game more sluggish.
Why? Because at the moment each terrain square covers 200m per side = 4 height points, one at each corner. If we now did it at 50m per terrain square we would need 25 points to describe the height for a 200m x 200m square now (there are 16 50m squares in a square 200m x 200m). So 6.25 times more data to be plotted and rendered makes it a slower game! The picture below gives a better explanation, the red dots being where the height data points are.

It may happen that you rename all your .dat files to _ru.dat in DGen folder and get your dynamic campaigns back in English but the game interface itself is still in Russian and you can't figure out how to fix that.
Installing this modification will get you a nice alternative (old style IL2) interface AND in English!

I have no idea how to go about these, but with all the talent in this forum. It may spark somebodys attention.
Possible mods could be;
dot mod (back in 4.03 they were great, that lasted not to long)
Is anyone working on a AI mod. (they really suck, but yet that is subjective, some think they are great)
Om screen text mod (id loooove this one) To make the hud messages a certain font we choose, and shrink it to a certain size. Also, the online chat up top, make it font changable and size changeable. Score board also perhaps.
