Have all the new sounds in and running well.
I'm now attemptingto add several new aircraft.
The Avenger 1st.
I have zipped the Avenger contents into the Files folder inside 46
Next I added the new text into textlist.
Now...I have the Avenger folder in the Files folder.
Inside the Avenger folder I have another folder 3do, plus 6 open files.
Where do they go?
It isnt working for me just leaving the big Avenger folder where it is with the 3do stuff and open files inside.

ok,this is me Humpaz and Raptor
Found that specularity of the planes (objects) is posible, and played with some of them. I think that with proper texture (skins) like alfa chanel, we could have specular map (and files calls some alfa texture).
That means more realistic metalic shine of the planes, maybe even panels, rivets, dents, metal fatigue in relief and much more detail.
Unfortunately that requires much more knowledge then I have, so here is some screenshots from my testing and some files if someone wants to try it. I can make that alfa texture if that will be needed. For some reason it didnt work with US markins/skins and I didnt have time to try it with custom skins. Dont afects FPS at all.
IMO it is worth of investigation and it would be great to see that for all planes

I've been trying out the B24J and the H8K1
Its great to have the opportunity to try out these large aircraft, particularly the flying boats.
I'm sure I've read elsewhere that the FM's of the AI aircraft are simpified in the sim. My experience seems to support this.
If you try landing in the H8K1 with landing flaps down the aircraft struggles to stay down and once on the water it just keeps going and takes for ever to stop.
The aircraft movement does not seem to be greatly affected by the viscous effect of the water.
With the B24J I have a similar problem landing with full flaps down. It doesnt slow down in the same way as a non AI aircraft and very easily becomes airborne again.
I dont know enough about FM's to comment much more, but is this something that could be adjusted to make AI aircraft FM's more like the non AI equivalents?
1. replaceable ingame 'navigation map' (keyboard: 'M') graphics - *edit: I need the files, cant find them
2. all displayed text, like "aircraft destroyed" for example, changed to white (or light brown maybe) possibly with 50% or adjustable transparency

any help would be appreciated!
Is that possible to have this as later Spit IX's did?
Hello , it isn't well know outside Italy, but Fiat G.50 spent most of its career as a fighter-bomber/assault plane, although in game it can't carry any bomb loadout, as it was in earlier aircrafts sent to Finland.
Could it be possible to add it? Wing bomb racks and loadout were the same as CR.42 8) .
By the way, also a bomb rack on Bf-109F-4 could be a good idea :wink: ...

IL4 now out with pe3 bis cockpit - chk it out ! which btw is definitly much better match for cockpit than the A20 :wink:
