hi all - im looking for a simple command line app that can find duplicate entries within a text file, this is so i can create installer for our mods - so that we dont need to insert text into filelist.txt - if i could get a command line app which could find duplicate entries i could make an installer that could write /merge the data needed for filelist.txt
anyone know any software with command line?
Ive posted before about this but got no real help.
Installed the sound mod V9.2 from standard V4.08, download the added cockpits but it won't let me use them. When I got in the QMB i have to aircraft in the flyables list (downloaded heavies pack), i got to fly them but its still the same as any other AI plane, can only use externals and have no control over it.
Before people start asking;
-Yes i have got the mod (V9.2)
-Yes i added the lines of text to the filelist.txt file.
(Where do you add them? there's a line of //////... before or after?)
-Ive merged the 'files' folder that came with the download with the 'files' folder that was created with the sound mod, also other files from that folder went it2 that folder, and the '3DO' folders merged also.
Can someone pls help me with this? Am i doing something wrong? Explaination pls.

I just tried this sound hack 'blasphmemy' and... It's frickin brilliant! I loved flying the Hawk-75, and i'm loving the new sound effects. Much moaning has been going on about this matter, and I did find myself saying 'shame I can't have a real Me-210 cockpit ' etc, but I hope that this is only the begining. Hopefully one day Il-2 will become a host to quality modelling. The problem remains of how to 'quality control' these inputs. But in any case, for a sim supposedly 'dead', I believe that this is the future.
Hi, Fly_zo, I know youre verry bussy with the map mods, however I got a question about that magnificent smoke/fire distance mod. of yours, is it also possible to have such a mod also for the additional trees ..for example the palmtrees found in FMB Objects list ? I'm already using youre modded New Guinea map with white beaches for a campaign , had to use lots of palmtrees to detail an airbase on an island and it looks good, but FMB added 'trees ' in Objects list are disappearing [default] too fast in short distance -[plz click on image below] - , so if you have or find a solution for that, then that would be great ,.... sure when its too much time consuming just ignore my request,

This is modified Normandy map with elevated ground in three flavors: summer;winter;autumn
Install:
1.copy files folder into your game root folder
2.add those lines to your filelist.txt
maps/normandy/fly_Z_normS_load.ini
maps/normandy/fly_Z_normA_load.ini
maps/normandy/fly_Z_normW_load.ini
maps/normandy/fly_Z_map_T.tga
maps/normandy/fly_Z_map_h.tga
3. ATANTION - OVERWRITING RISK !!!! if you already have all.ini file ( files\maps) add this line into it:
fly_Z_norm_S normandy/fly_Z_normS_load.ini
fly_Z_norm_A normandy/fly_Z_normA_load.ini
fly_Z_norm_W normandy/fly_Z_normW_load.ini
if you don't have all.ini file just copy file that comes with this mod (file from all.ini folder) into your: files\maps folder

Hello,
Here is a list of work that I am considering doing. I have plenty of experience using "external programming capabilities" but I am still adapting to Java (which is new to me). So the result is that things don't "jump out at me" quite yet.
I was wondering if someone could help identify if/where the class differs for the R4M from other rocket types in order to produce dispersion. The 60lb rocket had about 8 mils dispersion and the RS series was closer to 16 mils. I intend to implement this.
Work to be done on loadouts:
- See if weapons types can be swapped on the same hardpoints
- See if loadouts can be transfered between variants (Mig-3UD -> Mig-3 AM38)
- See if hardpoints can be deleted and figure out how weapons are assigned to hardpoints in mixed loadouts (AR-234 test version - not for release)
- See if new hardpoints can be added using the *.class and *.him files
Other interesting projects:
- Create a new weapon based on an existing version (TinyTim -> BETAB-750DS)
note: This may be possible due to the nature of this particular weapon. Generally speaking what I have seen doesn't bode well for modifying weapons (which is generally a good thing).
- Adding a time delay for the SC-250 in order to make it into an Aerial Bomb
- Swapping SD2 and SD4 between the AB series

Ever wished trains were as durable as in Il2 V1-1.2b?
Questions yet to be answered:
- Do these files contain the actual damage model for objects?
- Can the program be made to call these files?
- Do they need to be transformed in some way?
I have so far tried adding them to filelist.ini and then modifying them with no luck.
Did someone already suggest here to add this IA plane to the flyable one...
i think Ki-27 Otsu could be good for the okha cockpit (the otsu model had a mirror ; it's better as you dont have many thing to do in this plane...)
the A5M could used a I-16 cockpit (i dont like it very much but it seem the best one...)
