Hola!!
Bueno muchas gracias!!
IFR from Philadelphia to La Guardia isn'rt exactly a long trip, especially in an FS2004 default Learjet, but I had an hour spare and thought why not? I hadn't delved in FS2004 for a long time and I was in the mood. So my wealthy pixellated client was strapped in the cabin, fed expensive drinks, and on with the rituals of getting a business jet into the air.
No problem with clearances, flight plans, or weather. If only reality was more like this, but I suppose flying would be all the more boring if it didn't suprise you in any way - and it does in real life, very suddenly, and sometimes very dangerously. But I had no worries. This was Micorsoft reality so nothing could go wrong.
The flight started out just fine. As always I flew on autopilot, making all adjustments to height, heading, and other factors on the little dashboard box, which meant I wasn't flustered and could enjoy the scenery. But all good things come to an end and eventually, rather sooner than I expected, the ATC told me to expect vectors for La Guardia 31.
As it happened I was cleared for visual approach. Being so unfamiliar with the area I saw the airport too late, and in any case, I hadn't reduced speed enough. So I blasted across Manhattan at 2,000ft somewhere close to cruising speed. Missed approach it is then.
The back leg seemed to take forever, and I took the opportunity to slow down and set up for landing. Time was ticking on. I had visions of a concerned passenger noticing the Empire State Building zoom by and the Atlantic Ocean on the wrong side of the aeroplane. Don't worry Sir, we're in the landing pattern.
Now I knew where La Guardia was and what it looked like. There it is. Report runway in sight... Cleared for visual approach... Okay, here we go. By my standards the approach was pretty much perfect. I pegged the sink rate absolutely just right, and with some satisfaction I saw the threshold looming ever larger in the centre of the screen. An MD-11 waited patiently for my arrival to one side. Almost there.... Almost there....
"Learjet Juliet Kilo go around" Said the controller. What? You cannot be serious! Far be it from me to disobey ATC commands. Throttle up and climb away. The sense of disappointment was palable. My passenger was probably staring perplexed and frustrated at the site of an airfield getting smaller with business meeting deadlines getting tight.
Round the landing pattern I went again. Oh look - there's the Atlantic Ocean. It felt like I was heading all the way back to Philadelphia again. This second approach was unhindered. Landing was okay, I taxied in, and opened the doors as I shut down. That flight took a bit longer than I expected. As real as it gets, eh?

Hi,
Tested with DBW 1.71 and DCG 3.47beta6!
The campaign is divided into three subcampaigns:
Preparations for D-Day
Operation Overlord
Liberation of Paris
For the RAF, USAAF and Luftwaffe are separate Fighter, Fighter/Bomber and Bomber pilot careers available.
Differences to the last beta version:
---------------------------------------------------
1. Replaced historical GB tanks with US Sherman tanks due to spawn problems during the campaign!
2. Added larger vehicle columns for all sides to have more targets!
3. Increased amount of fuel for the Mosquito AI Squads, because they ran out of fuel during some missions!
4. Removed all Opel vehicles from some german airfields, so that the allied tanks are not distracted during fighting in these places!
5. Added more static ships to the Invasion beaches!
6. Replaced the russian artillery with US artillery via fobjects.dcg file!
7. Changed timeline and spawn date for the german vehicles in the timetable.dcg!
8. Reworked again Road traffic for the cities St Lo and Carentan and added red Flak to important locales!
Changes V1.1
---------------------
1. The Overlord campaign has now three subcampaigns, so that the Allied ground troops have a better supply rate when they are deeper in the Normandy territory!
2. Added the possibility to include the Typhoon/Tempest mod by "crazyflak" to the campaign!
3. Removed the P-38J15 from the campaign, because of a freeze crash!
4. Removed flying V1 Rockets from the first subcampaign (not the V1 Sites)!
5. Have made changes to all campaign files, like new naming of River bridges, new timeline of the campaign,
Escorts for heavy bomber, removed some static objects from the first campaign a.s.o.
So, you should completely deinstall the last version of this campaign, before you install this one!

To use some objects of this mod for the campaign make the following:
1. Let DCG creating the first mission, then switch to Desktop!
2. Open the new created .mis file (with Date) in your "/Missions/Campaign/"Service"/Dgen_PilotsName" folder with an Editor and copy the three lines at the end of the [NStationary] section!
Example: Gunner (GNR),Spotter (SPR), Ground_Attack (Level, for both sides)
If you play for the Allied:
--------------------------------
2000_Static vehicles.stationary.CandC$LevelUnit 0 7211.56 327465.81 360.00 0.0
2001_Static vehicles.stationary.CandC$SPRUnit 1 12481.54 327743.18 360.00 0.0
2002_Static vehicles.stationary.CandC$GNRUnit 1 17392.20 327992.35 360.00 0.0
If you play for the Axis:
--------------------------------
2000_Static vehicles.stationary.CandC$LevelUnit 0 7211.56 327465.81 360.00 0.0
2001_Static vehicles.stationary.CandC$SPRUnit 2 12481.54 327743.18 360.00 0.0
2002_Static vehicles.stationary.CandC$GNRUnit 2 17392.20 327992.35 360.00 0.0
3. Save it and let the campaign folder open, back to IL-2 and play the mission, and later same procedure for the next mission!
Looks complicated, but its a really quick thing with ctrl+c and ctrl+v!
Note: Dont copy these lines into the "DDAY1","DDAY2" or "DDAY3".mis files, otherwise will use DCG these objects as targets for missions!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Before you start a campaign, please take a look in the "Read Me" file!
Many thanks to Paul Lowengrin for his support and Dynamic Campaign Generator,

Have fun!
Good day, guys
First I have to say thanks to All the IL-2 modders, from the guy who made only one mod but made the day for some people, to the expert fanatic in it almost from the start of IL-2 modding.
If you can, please thank one past long time modder (who might still be doing something) and one more recent modder of a couple years or less. If you want, by all means thank more than this.
I thank Hellzone for his part in trailblazing that lead to the first big mod pack ( others getting credit, too ), Unified Installer (UI) from All Aircraft Arcade - the mother of this website. Hellzone, you gave and helped many people so here I am thanking you for your part in my progess with IL-2, leading to future technical progress by me. A few times I saw him in the Whos Online of AAS here, so I hope he reads this someday.
Radpig gets my thanks for brightening some of my days with his fast learning, fun IL-2 art, and sense of humor. It's nice to see people getting the help they need, then later doing nice things for the community.

Hello!
Today I would like to remember a great Hero, who died 80 years ago.
Alberto Santos Dumont
(Born July 20 1873_Palmira, Brazil - Died July 23 1932_Guaruja, Brazil)
He is considered by many people the true "Father" of airplane, since he was the first to take off an aircraft without the aid of any external device such as catapults but only on its engine, and the first to do so in the presence of witnesses, including journalists and cameramen...
Here is a movie about his achievements
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46wadiUA ... =endscreen
Hope You enjoy!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Santos Dumont in some remarkable moments
Flying a dirigible at Bagatelle, Paris
First fully documented flight of an airplane. Bagatelle, Paris - October 23 1906
Flying his monoplane called "Demoiselle"
This was the first aircraft project built in numbers. Many were built by several aircraft makers from blueprints provided by free...
Some of then were used by French Army during the early weeks of World War One performing reconaissance duties in Belgium.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, just a curiosity. He is also considered the "inventor" of the wrist watch after he adapted his pocket watch to be attached to his wrist in order to keep his hands free during flights. The practice was soon emulated by youth in Paris where he was an idol...

Oscarito
