Merlins on ENG 0.93 are better but flaps sounds are quite overloud so I got back to 0.92. Can I exchange files from 0.93 to 0.92 ? Which are the Merlin files in .93 ?

Hi all,

Not sure if this is something everyone already knows or not, but just in case, I thought I'd mention my 'discovery'.

It's nice that you can have different default skins for summer and winter, but I also wanted to have different defaults for desert maps.

So, I did a bit of experimentation and I've managed to sort it.

I created a 'desert' folder in the files/3d0/plane/ etc folder (beside 'summer' and 'winter') and placed the correct files for a desert skin. I then added the correct lines to the filelist.

Then I opened the load.ini file for a desert map. I tried it on VP's Sands of Time, since I could access that one. Near the top is an entry for 'Camoflage = SUMMER'. I changed SUMMER to read DESERT.

Then, when I loaded up the map default skins would show a desert scheme if I had added the folder, and would then display their normal summer scheme on other maps.

I'm well chuffed Smile Of course, everyone might know this already, but still, I'm chuffed Big Grin

QMB mods are there and which ones are the best.. r do they all do the same thing basically.....

I currently use Mission Mate... but this is another one of the mods that I am looking at as having potential... One feature in all these QMB mods that would really be great would be if you could assign a place where to spawn... or at least multiple areas... Can you spawn on the ground in any of them?

Following my previous mod Me109-G4 and Me109-G10 Erla,

I continued some visual proper modifications inside the 109 family.
Here are my results:




The Me109-G6-Early with retrofitted Erla canopy:

This new mod provides :

Arrow Visual mods for Me109-G6 Early such as

-Erla canopy with classic tail

-Alternative wing bulges and tail wheel types for both Me109-G10 and G14.

Just seemed to have lost shift F1 to adjust the cockpit view in 109's etc to line up the revi properly. Am I doing something wrong or is there a trick to this? thks!

V4.09m Beta has come out, with GREAT new Maps and Objects. Will some of these mods be altered so that they will work with V4.09m (Beta, or Final)???

New HUDs

We decided to change the HUD to use TAS mph & feet instead of what it is now (TAS kph & meters) we then thought it would be a good idea to have both TAS mph & kph , feet & meters - the following mods allow you to choose what you want the HUD to display

You will need either (The link is inoperative) ENG_SOUND_MOD or (The link is inoperative) MOD-Activator first before you download this

FOR THESE MODS TO WORK YOU MUST DOWNLOAD & INSTALL THIS FIRST !

The first one has the speed now in mph & the altitude in feet

A few nagging issues (some discussed before):

1. min alt was raised to 140 in a recent patch utterly eliminating realistic missions for the SWPA.

2. The AI only recognizes ground targets at 3000m or so. This makes dive bombing impossible as a flight leader since US VBs started their dives at ~12k feet. By the time you get low enough to tell the AI to DB, you have little time to execute your attack. It would be nice to increase this reaction distance a little.
