I have released two Skin Packs that reflected the changing camo schemes of JG54 from the Summer of 41 on into the Spring of 43.
The two combined packs contain 17 aircraft.
The first pack shows the evolvement of JG54 Camo on Bf109 F2 and F4's.
The second JG54 Pack has one BF109 G2 and seven combined FW190 A4 and A5's.
In some cases you can see that these aircraft have been overpainted two or three times depending on the environmental surroundings and seasons on the Eastern Front, and shows JG54 on the move.
Hopefully this will be a nice addition to IL2 46, especially for the Eastern Front flyers.
I found that this was a pretty large undertaking but now it's finally done I want to thank Kelsey (aka) Jesters ink for his wonderful templates, and a number of other great skinners who were there to advise me and offer suggestions along the way.
Lastly, a thanks to Bob over at the Official JG54 Website for his continous support and encouragement of this project.
Both JG54 Packs can be now gotten at the Mission4Today site.
Here are a few examples

Is it possible for a modder to adapt the MkVb to a Mk1? I know there are some subtle differences like the oil cooler and Coffman starter (and of course the cannon) etc, but it would be great to have a 'Mk1'!
Anyone thought of doing a mod for late Yaks?
Hi guys,
I thought i'd post about the new JG54 Skin site that has been launched today.
www.jg54.eu/skins
Any comments for improvements are welcome! Thanks guys
Hey,
I'd like to try and skin things like gunpods, droptanks, bombs etc, because a) they look terrible at the moment and b) I could colour-match them to fit with my skins perfectly.
I opened up fb_3DO.sfs and found some TGAs under the 'Arms' section, but when I extracted them I wasn't able to open them in Photoshop. It also didn't seem like everything was listed.
Any experts able to offer some advice?
Thanks
Joe
before I installed the new wrapper.dll I had no problem with using the destruction mod if I was in 4.08 or on a map in 4.09 with no new 4.09 objects in it
if I disabled the files/com/maddox/il2/objects/static.ini line in the filelist by add ing a couple of // in front of it....then i could see the new 4.09 objects
but now since I put the new wrapper.dll in....I cannot save a mission in the FMB with the new maps
This is not an unrealistic MOD. Most flyers in WWII had there guns adjusted to a fit there abilities. I am wondering if if anyone can create a new box for adjusting pitch on guns by degree.
Example: Convergence= 100yds
Pitch= 1.25deg
We already have the ability for convergence now if we got the other I would be in heaven.
This is not adding to Weapons strengths or anything unhistorical

Proposed mod: wind.wav active when flying glider, in parachute, or opening canopy.
I know that most of the guys here doing mods make mods that have to be used in the context of... well.. the mods... but all things considered, like some of the insight that many have gained into the sim's structure and such, how far fetched would it be to consider also making things that do not require one to use" the mod" proper.... like new utilities that could just be used with the stock sim like so many of the other great user made things like IL2 Manager, Mat MANAGER & Stab etc... The thing that got me to even thinking about that was a post by Jolly about a 3D mesh viewer... now that many have newer insights into how the sim works... would it be possible to make a skin viewer so that you can check out your skins without loading the sim? (Great idea Jolly... not sure if that is what you meant though... but uhhhmmm...)
Or an offline object viewer as well like the one on the DE site....... that would be great for mission builders since the one in the FMB is ok.. but it is kind of cumbersome.... which also brings to mind... How about incorporating some of the things similar to the QOT into the FMB...
I would like to begin my thread by first saying that I applaud all those who have contributed to these Mods which has taken IL2 to a much greater level. In no way am I attempting to throw dagers at anyone.
With that said, I think it has brought about some major problems as well. More specifically, each person has a different set of Mods and we all don't see the same thing in the coop sign-up board. While I see a TBF, someone else sees a B-17 for the same slot. Folks that aren't patched at all may even pick what he sees as an allied slot while those with Mods installed show an axis slot.
I suspect it has something to do with the filelist.txt file being updated differently since it is being overwritten with each upload. Just my guess.
Anyone experiencing this?
