0.93 does sound better for the most, and most important it fixed a problem I had with 0.91 (never tried 0.92): guns firing from a far distance away sounded like they were right behind me. Now that problem is gone; I think that 0.93 gun sounds volume should be a bit higher but that's not a big problem.
Besides overall gun sounds that in my opinion should be a little louder, I have a major sound problem with Macchi 202 and 205 guns (I haven't tried the 200 yet): smaller guns sound like a kid riding his bike with an ice-cream stick in his wheel and the and the (slightly) bigger one sounds like... rocks hitting the ground? Both horrible, and both way too low.
Maybe it's actually the same problem and they would sound better if they weren't that low.
My questions are:
What are the filenames for the Macchi guns sounds? I could try to use the files from .91 or .92.
And if it turns out that the sound is exactly the same, what files are the best candidates to replace the horrible sounds?
Before I try anything else, I would try to raise the volume for all guns on all planes a little bit: can that be done? how?
Anyone to submit a couple of mods to fix Macchi guns sounds and overall too-low 0.93 gun sounds?
Where can I find a modding tutorial?
Thanks in advance
Well, there are a number of chaps out there making quite respectable mesh-mods, the Tiger Moth and Typhoon coming to mind (etc). I wonder, therefore, it is possible to make the following graphical changes to the existing msh file groups?:
I would like to swap, basically, the spinner on the I-16s. The in-game variants noted do not match the physical appearance of the 3D models. Therefore, it would be ideal in my mind to apply the "I-16 Type 24" spinner to the "Type 18", and vice versa.
The resulting "Type 18" model would then, in fact, most closely resemble an actual Type 24 (the in-game version is closest to a Type 28, noting the wing ShVAK). The cannon armed machine with the conical "Type 18" spinner would resemble best the Type 17. Neither would be exact, of course, but one must work with what one has available....
As well, I would be delighted if it were possible to apply the rear cockpit area turtledecking (that section just aft of the sliding hood) of the LaGG or La-5 to the Yak-1. The clear rear section on the game's model is suitable only for a very small number of Yak-1s, the majority having the half-round window cut-outs. IMO this would be a huge improvement.
Is there anyone hereabouts with the ability and desire to attempt these modifications? Please?
I remember, long ago in an early version of PF, you could put stationary ac on stationary carriers, such as ones at anchor. I believe you could do this with the "F4" key. It still works with lights but not planes. I was wondering, if there might be a fix for this?
for some reason the P-47D Late 1944 has no panel :!:
Help please !
After installing SM09 all the sounds inside and outside are OK.
However after installing AAA_MOD_PACK, all sounds except the propeller sound are missing, in the cockpit just when revs of the engine exceed 2600rpm, all sounds are gone.
Planes affected:
Avenger
A-20
B-25
F4F
F4U
F6F
P-47
TBF
All other sounds are OK
Any tips please?
Ooops, I just saw I wrote 2 Cs and it needs 2 Rs

all, 1st post! Awesome site btw. My question is using the AAA mod pack I cant seem to make a MOD plane work in the UQMG(uber demon) is there a way to make it work,or another program or am I stuck with QMB or FMB?
I searched the posts and found something about turning off the navigation lights by changing Radius1 and Radius0 to 0.0. Can someone explain where this is or how to do it. Thanks!
Nooby question here, do these mods work in multiplayer, ie online servers in Hyperlobby? thanks!
