if not allready done, please look on Destruction Detail of this:

I don't know if it's possible...but could the actually Destructive Detail get pimped?
For Example: If I'm flying a Me BF 109 F or G, and get a hit on Engine...
than there appears some ugly black dots to simulate holes.
I like the Damage Detail of Me BF 109 E series very well,
when the Hood is deformed...looks pretty.
But I miss some scratches and detail at the "Holes".
Did someone think it were possible to repaint for a bit more detail?
If it's a TGA-Graphic-File as overlay, I hadn't find it yet...

Hi All,
Many thanks for your great mod, I am pleasure share my NewMat mod which was done 3 year's ago, which make symbols and numbers looks shining to match aircraft skins. Ace High's Mat manager also include these from his following version and do further, he add lot of new symbols and numbers.
I just edited default ones, because there are many symbols and numbers made by 3rd party need to be further tuned to make text and symbol edges looks smooth, however it will take a lot of work.
Now by Avala's new planeshine mode, I edit some parameter in mats in order to make it match with the new shining effect.
The screenshot was taken before, but new one is similar effect

Is it possible to replace the default mat export setting? if work, we can just set all export mat parameter, not edit the final mat file, now there are about more than 5000 mats, only part of total

Hi all,
I am having problems when attempting to run the sound Mod. I am running ver 4.08m on a fresh install. I am using a copy of the original placed in a separate directory and have the sound setting at 44100.
I get the Russian load screen however once it gets to 5% the game always crashes to desktop. I have tried various setting but have had no luck. One thing I have noticed is that when using DirectX mode instead of Open GL I get a wrapper log file which lists some errors.

You know that annoying glowing blue pulsating text that sits over everything?
This will simplify it:
- removing many redundant messages ("vehicle destroyed"),
- removing unrealistic messages about the aircraft (eg. "fuel leak", "out of ammo")
- simplify routine messages to a single letter or group of dots (time compression, radiator position)
It takes a little bit to get used to (about as much as switching joysticks). But it is more realistic and much more immersive. The file is also in a simple text format, so it should be easy to tweak it to your own liking.

Hello,
I have been using a program call Javabite and it is relatively painful to use. Is there better software available? What do you use?

Would be possible update the C-202 cockpit with the C-205 "frame" (front pilot view in the pic)?
In the final 4.04 release, if i'm not wrong, whe should have had the updated C-202 cockpit, but in the final patch there was the old one... :? ...as for the completed C-200 FB cockpit, MIA.
Ok...it's too much work and not useful on many servers. How can I get rid of it without completely re-installing 1946 and all of the patches and mods I've been using for the past month?
